Isolates (2023-ongoing) is a series of algae generated natural monoprints scanned and UV printed on zinc, copper, aluminum and oxidized in copper sulfate. Proposed for a 2023 residency at Frans Masereel Centrum, the prints are intended to document and explore the intricacies in photographically capturing the complex ‘structural colors’- iridescent hues generated by the interaction between incident light and nanostructures - found in macro and microalgae.
